Announcement
Master Seo’s Farewell
Dear all Taekwondo Club members,
I would like to let you all know that the club coach Master Zoo Yong Seo will be resigning from his position as the Taekwondo Club coach effective from Friday 12th of June 2009. Many people probably won’t know this, but Master Seo actually co-founded the Sydney Uni Taekwondo Club in the year 2001. Since then, has worked hard and tirelessly during the last 8 years with the aim of making our club the best university club in Australia and endeavoured to put the club’s needs before his own.
As I have already informed you all, this week is the last week of training for this semester, and so I would like to ask you all to please come this Friday at 4pm in the Dojo Room to say farewell to Master Seo and to give thanks for all the effort he has contributed for the club in the last 8 years. It does not matter if you trained half a decade ago, or if you only started training in the last few months, please come even if it is for a short while. If you cannot come this Friday, please feel free to come on 4pm this Wednesday instead. As for Master Seo’s future, he hopes to return to studying full-time and has been considering this option for a couple of years.
Once again, I appeal to everybody in the club to please come this Friday at 4pm to show your appreciation for his enormous contribution to the club, thank you!
Kind Regards,
John Lee

No Taekwondo this Friday or next Monday!
Just a heads up that there’s no training this friday since Johnnie and Master Seo cannot make it in. Also Monday is the Queen’s birthday so there is no training on then!
New Training Times! Please read!
Dear all club members,
As we slowly but surely creep slowly towards the end of semester exams, I hope to tell you all a few things regarding training for the upcoming few weeks.
First of all, there is only 2 weeks of training left this semester (week 13 + STUVAC)! In other words, we will not be training during the 2 week exam period, and also we will be taking an additional 2 week break in the July holidays straight after the exams.
Secondly, the training schedule for the next 2 weeks will be altered due to a decrease in class attendance.
Mondays and Wednesdays will only have 2 classes each:
1 day time class and 1 night time class.(The beginner’s class will be joined with regular training for the next few weeks and begin as a separate class next semester)
On both days the day time class will start at 4:00pm and run to 5:30pm. The night time class will run from 5:30pm to 6:30pm as per usual.
The Monday day time class will be the junior sparring class, and the Wednesday day time class will be the regular training class. Friday intensive sparring classes will be unaffected. In case anybody was wondering, we will re-introduce the 3pm beginner classes next semester.
Lastly, to those that come to the Monday and Friday sparring classes, please bring a mouth guard and a towel. I ask you all to bring a towel not just for yourselves, but also to wipe down sparring equipment such as the chest guards and helmets so that we can clean off the sweat and moisture after we’ve used them. This is important to sustain the quality and longevity of the sparring equipment provided to you by the club and also to prevent them from getting incredibly smelly.
Thank you for reading this e-mail and I wish you all the best of luck for your exams!
Kind Regards,
John Lee
