  • CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Sparring classes (Fridays) are those which tend to focus on techniques for competitions, though other aspects of training are covered as well. These often include sparring at the end of the class, so students who have their own sparring gear should bring it on this day. Beginners are welcomed to attend this class but parctice light or no contacting sparring. All other classes focus on a broader variety of Taekwondo skills, such as physical conditioning, basic kicking, self-defence and patterns, in addition to basic sparring techniques.

  • Membership and Grading Fees

To sign up and start training with us, students are required to pay a $55 Sydney Uni Sport and Fitness annual membership fee and a $5 Taekwondo Club membership fee.

People who are not Sydney University undergraduate students must first join the Sports Union, which costs $90 per year on top of our $5. Sports Union memberships must be renewed at the start of each year. The memberships include an insurance policy ensuring coverage of safety and well-being which makes the membership essential for those otherwise uncovered.

Taekwondo Australia membership is optional but is required to enter State and National tournaments, and costs $38 per year.
