University of Sydney Taekwondo Club

Hello everybody!
Last week the Sydney Uni Taekwondo Club sent 11 competitors to Melbourne to compete at the Australian University Games. We came second equal this year, along with Monash (who sent 21 people, and RMIT who sent 23 people). Just from this alone we can clearly see what an awesome job our competitors
have done. We had half the number of competitors but still matched Monash at RMIT at national level. We have smashed our long time rivals UNSW, who sent 16 competitors and came 6th. So its true what they say; quality is better than quantity.

As Club President, I would like to congratulate and thank the following competitors on behalf of the Sydney University Taekwondo Club.

This year was a great success, and I believe that in 2009 we have a bright chance of becoming the national champions!

I would also like to express my deepest gratitude to Master Seo, Jason Liem, Mellissa Linardi, Daniel Kim and Sydney Yang for sacrificing their time, money and effort in making sure that the competition ran as smooth as possible. There was a ton of work to do and it just could not have been possible without these people to help out. So please give these people a big round of applause or at least a pat on the back when you next see them on campus or at training.
